Scientists announced that as a result of the new type of corona virus (Kovid-19) test, there was no active virus in babies, and the antibody was transferred from the mother through the placenta.

According to the report of the Science Daily site, in a study conducted by scientists from the Weill Cornell Institute of Medical Sciences, blood samples of 88 women who gave birth in one of the hospitals where Kovid-19 patients were densely seen in New York were examined.

In the study, antibodies were detected in blood samples taken from the umbilical cord of 78 percent of the babies born.

It was reported that antibodies were found in the women participating in the study, indicating they were previously infected with Kovid-19, and 58 percent of them were asymptomatic.

ANTIBODY TRANSFERED FROM MOTHER TO PLASENTA

Experts pointed out that as a result of the Kovid-19 test, there was no active virus in babies, and the antibody was transferred from the mother through the placenta.

In the study, it was noted that mothers with symptomatic infection with Kovid-19 had higher antibody levels than those who were asymptomatic.
