CBI interrogates Rumatira at Mamata’s nephew’s house World | DW

Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee’s nephew Abhishek Banerjee’s house was raided by CBI officers. On Tuesday, they interrogated Abhishek’s wife Rujira for an hour and a half. After the interrogation, the CBI officers went straight to their office at Nizam Palace. They met there.

According to Trinamool sources, Rujira has fully cooperated with the CBI officers. He answered all the questions. But according to CBI sources, Rujira has avoided many questions. In response to many questions, he said he did not know anything. Can’t say anything.

CBI officers first asked a few general questions about his foreign bank account.

CBI sources said that they did not get answers to those questions. CBI officials also questioned Ruzira about the coal scandal and her sister. They could not be satisfied with Rujira’s reply.

CBI officers prepared an eight-page question paper and took it away. There were eight CBI officers. The CBI was headed by Biswajit Das, an SP rank officer. However, the CBI did not say what would be done after that and whether Rujira would be questioned again.

Mamata at Abhishek’s house

Mamata Banerjee reached Abhishek’s house shortly before the CBI officers arrived. He was there for nine minutes. Three minutes after he left, CBI officers entered. The chief minister did not say why he went to his nephew’s house, nor did Abhishek.

BJP leader’s house searched

Police recently arrested BJP leader Pamela with cocaine. Pamela later named Rakesh Singh, a close associate of BJP leader Kailash Vijayavargi. Police called Rakesh to Lalbazar for questioning in a drug case. But he did not go. He instead appealed to the High Court. After the High Court rejected his application, the police went to his house. When the police went to search the house, Rakesh’s son stopped him. Later, the police entered the house and searched it.

Questions about time

Veteran journalist Soumya Bandyopadhyay thinks sand smuggling, coal scams, catching up when bringing extra gold to the airport have been on the market for a long time. He told DW why the issue is being moved before the vote now. Why not before? If there is a complaint, it should always be interrogated. But why the CBI, CID, police will be used for political interests?

According to Soumya, the case is being filed only if he opposes the government. As the water hyacinth grows, so does the number of treason cases. A case of treason has been filed against 22 farmers. This trend is deadly. That is where in power, they can take this path.

What could be the reaction? BJP leaders say the allegations they made about the nephew are proving to be true. And the grassroots claim, it will be a boomerang. People will be disgusted. However, the verdict of the people will be understood after the result of the vote.
