According to the announcement, the ceasefire was violated 11 times from the breakaway areas last day. The “Russian occupying forces” opened fire on grenades of the Ukrainian army with grenade launchers and handguns near the town of Avgyijivka near Donetsk. As a result of the attack, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and one was wounded.
Also in the Donetsk region, on the outskirts of Marjika settlement, untargeted fire was opened with shoulder-fired anti-tank grenades, and in the Pervomajszke region with handguns.
In the northern section of the front line, however, targeted shots were fired from grenade launchers, large-caliber bullets and small arms. As a result of the attacks here, a Ukrainian soldier was wounded.
The statement added that the area of Vogyane in the southern part of the front line, on the Azov coast, was fired with 82-caliber minesweepers, grenade launchers, large-caliber bullets and handguns.
During Tuesday, three more ceasefire violations were recorded until noon.
However, on Tuesday, the DAN news agency of the Donetsk splitters reported nine ceasefire violations from the Ukrainian side. They allege that a civilian, a 21-year-old man, had suffered an injury the day before in a village west of Donetsk.
A ceasefire has been in place in the Donetsk Basin conflict zone since the end of July last year, brought to the roof by a so-called Minsk liaison group of representatives of Kiev, Moscow and the OSCE. Provocations that did not cause serious casualties continued along the front line, but in the last months of last year, many Ukrainian soldiers were killed by targeted shots fired by separatists and some died in patronage by explosive devices placed by enemy forces along the front line while patrolling.
