Serhiy Sternenko called his sentence a politically motivated decision dictated to judges. The activist stressed that “Irina Venediktova, Oleg Tatarov and other scum who put pressure on the judges will be grateful.”
Sternenko noted that he would definitely file an appeal and hoped that lawyers would be admitted to him.
The Court sentenced Sternenko to 7 years in prison
If something happens to me during my detention, it will be the personal responsibility of President Volodymyr Zelensky,
– Sternenko emphasized.
According to Sternenko, the judge should have announced his verdict last week, but did not do so.
“Last Friday, this judge, when we were here, and he had a written verdict, he did not come out and did not announce it. I know why he did not announce it. Because this judge wrote an acquittal, but he was pressured: Irina Venediktov, Oleg Tatarov and Gennady Trukhanov. And because of this he unprecedentedly postponed the announcement of the already written sentence, “Sternenko said.
The activist noted that this was not a verdict for him, but for those “animals that organize politically motivated persecution.”
Sternenko said that “if they think they can shut our mouths with their manual judges, their stupid prosecutors who don’t even know the law, they are very wrong.”
These are Irina Venediktova, Gennady Trukhanov and Vladimir Zelensky who covers them,
– Sternenko emphasized.
The Ukrainian activist is convinced that the sentence was dictated to him on Bankova Street, because critics are very disliked there. Judge Sternenko called the act an unprecedented event. At the same time, the activist stressed that he did not blame the servant of Themis, but only regretted it, because he was broken.
According to Sternenko, if they came for him today, they will come for others tomorrow.
