Bagheri added, in statements today, Tuesday, “The bomb that the US forces used in the assassination of Qassem Soleimani, Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis and their companions, was not an ordinary bomb, but rather a bomb with which armored equipment is targeted, and it penetrates steel with a thickness of 30 centimeters, so that their bodies are cut into pieces.”
He continued, saying, “Soleimani, a foreign guest, entered Iraq at the official invitation of the Iraqi prime minister. He was carrying a message to Saudi Arabia, and he arrived in Iraq via a civilian plane on a public visit.”
Bagheri pointed out that his assassination is a “violation of Iraq’s sovereignty and diplomatic rights, which is state terrorism and a crime that America has recognized itself, and the American bases in Saudi Arabia, Qatar, the Emirates and Bahrain have helped it. Those bases in those countries have provided America with intelligence information.”
He explained that “aircraft flew from the military bases in Kuwait, Jordan and Iraq, targeting the car that was carrying Soleimani and the engineer.”
Bagheri stressed the need for those countries to bear responsibility for the assassination: “We have presented all these countries with documents that prove this, so that they cannot cover up their participation in that crime directly,” noting that the assassination of Qassem Soleimani is a state terror whose perpetrators should be prosecuted.
Bagheri thanked the Iraqi judiciary, which is following this closely in cooperation with the Iranian judiciary.
