Several teachers at Oakley Elementary School, California, resigned after insulting their parents in an online conference, which they thought was private, writes BBC.
“They believe us their nannies, that’s why they want the students to go back to school,” said one of the teachers, unaware that the online meeting was public, not private. Another teacher suggested that some parents just want to send their children back to school to do drugs: “My brother delivers medical marijuana, his main clients are his parents.”
Without the teachers in the conference suspecting, as time went on, the parents entered the online meeting.
Shortly afterwards, Kim Beede, a teacher and board member of the school, noted that the meeting was public and closed access.
An NBC reporter was among the parents who attended the conference and had time to record the insults and accusations against the parents, which he later posted on Twitter.
2) Before she realized the public was listening in, School Board President Lisa Brizendine criticized parents who continue to be frustrated by the district’s Covid-related school closures:

The mistakes of the board of directors were charged with a mass resignation after more than 7,000 people signed a petition demanding the withdrawal of the entire board.
Two days after the incident, the school issued a press release apologizing to the parents and asking them not to doubt the professionalism of the teachers. Also, the vacancies left after the resignation of the council were listed on the school’s website.
