Many commuters and families with children where their parents live on different sides of the Sound have been squeezed due to the border closures. Region Skåne now offers free covid-19 testing for parents with shared custody across the strait and their teenagers, Region Skåne announces in a press release.
To be able to test yourself for free, you as a parent need to be able to prove that you have shared custody of children who live in Sweden. It must be proven with the child’s identity card, extracts from the population register for the parent resident in Denmark and identification of the parent being tested. Children under the age of 12 do not need to be tested.
“I am glad that we have solutions that make it easier for a group of children and parents who have been squeezed through the border closures. A little relief does not increase the spread of infection but gives great gains socially and humanly”, says Carl Johan Sonesson (M), chairman of Region SkÃ¥ne and in the partner organization Greater Copenhagen in a press release.
