Boeing, one of the largest aircraft manufacturers in the US and the world, recommended that all 777 model aircraft that burned down and scattered parts to the ground while flying over Denver on Saturday.
British Transport Minister Grant Shapps announced on his Twitter account that his country’s airspace will be temporarily closed to Boeing 777 model aircraft with Pratt Whitney 400-122 series engines.
The engine of the Boeing 777 type passenger plane belonging to United Airlines, which took off from Denver International Airport to Honolulu on February 20 in the USA, broke down and the broken parts were scattered over an area of 50 kilometers. Some pieces had fallen into the garden of the surrounding houses.
It was shared in the US national press that there were no people injuring the residents of the region.
In the statement made by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), it was noted that the plane returned to the airport safely after the right engine failed.
The FAA had ordered United Airlines to investigate its emergency landing plane. United Airlines and two of Japan’s leading airline companies have landed 56 aircraft using the same engine so far.
