Iranian leader Khamenei noted that they will go so far as to enrich uranium 60 percent

Meeting with the members of the Assembly of Experts, the Iranian leader made evaluations about the nuclear deal, US sanctions and the uranium enrichment program, according to a statement made by Khamenei’s office.

Noting that Iran will increase its nuclear capacity as needed and will not remain at the level of 20 percent in enriching uranium, Khamenei said, “Iran will not back down in the nuclear issue. Iran will go so far as to enrich uranium 60 percent according to its needs and as required by the interests of the country.” used the expressions.

“THE WEST’S ANNOUNCEMENTS ABOUT IRAN ARE DIFFICULT, DEMANDING UNHOLDER”

Describing the statements of the USA, Britain, France and Germany on Iran as “arrogant, demanding and ruthless”, Khamenei said, “Westerners know very well that we are not in pursuit of nuclear weapons. The nuclear weapons issue is an excuse. They are against us having normal weapons. Because Iran is Iran. they don’t want to get stronger. ” found the assessment.

Regarding the statements of Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu against Iran, Khamenei said:

“The international Zionist clown (Netanyahu) constantly says, ‘We will not allow Iran to acquire nuclear weapons.’ It should be said to him: If Iran decides to acquire nuclear weapons, neither it nor its elders can prevent it. sees ban. “

Khamenei, who stated that the law called “Strategic Action Plan for Lifting Sanctions and Protecting Iranian Nation’s Interests” is good and should be implemented seriously, which envisages the departure from the Additional Protocol implemented within the scope of the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT), He asked them to solve it and not cause duplicity.

NUCLEAR LAW APPROVED IN IRAN

The Iranian Parliament, which is dominated by the conservatives, passed the “Strategic Action Plan for the Abolition of Sanctions and the Protection of the Interests of the Iranian Nation” law aimed at accelerating nuclear activities shortly after the killing of nuclear scientist Muhsin Fahrizade on 27 November 2020.

The law obliges the Iranian Atomic Energy Authority to start enriching uranium by at least 20 percent and to increase its low-level enriched uranium stocks, unless the parties to the nuclear agreement take steps to normalize Tehran’s banking relations and oil exports by February 21, Iran is under the NPT 2016. It requires separation from the Additional Protocol, which it has applied voluntarily since.

The Tehran administration had allowed IAEA inspectors to suddenly inspect the nuclear facilities at any time, under the Additional Protocol. Iran’s departure from the Additional Protocol means that the inspection of Agency inspectors will be limited.
