On Tuesday, alcohol consumption will be prohibited between 11:00 and 18:00 on some busy streets in Paris, the Warsaw police have informed. This move is intended to keep agglomeration residents from flocking.
The ban on alcohol consumption will apply for 15 days. Failure to comply with this restriction will result in a fine of € 135.
The authorities of the Alpy-Maritime department decided on Monday to introduce local lockdowns in several municipalities for 15 days due to the deteriorating sanitary situation.
In the last 24 hours in France, 4,646 people were infected with coronavirus, 333 died in hospitals. Since the start of the pandemic, the death toll from the coronavirus has increased to 84,639 and those infected to 3,609,827, the Public Health Agency (SPF) said on Monday.
Due to the infection, 1,529 patients were admitted to hospitals, 274 to intensive care units. The number of hospitalized patients increased by 367 and now amounts to 25,831. 3,407 patients are treated in intensive care units. The percentage of coronavirus tests with a positive result increased from 6.3 to 6.4 percent.
