Lifting restrictions “In four steps and without the yo-yo effect”, is the Chancellery ‘s plan for re-opening of the market and society after the general lockdown which is still in effect to curb its pandemic coronavirus.
“There is a legitimate longing to open,” the Chancellor reportedly said Angela Merkel during today’s teleconference of the presidency of the Christian Democratic Party (CDU), with its Helge Brown, to talk about a plan in four stages. According to the BILD newspaper, the Chancellor has not yet given details, but a working group headed by Mr. Brown will start working on the final plan tomorrow, in view of the Chancellor’s next teleconference with the Prime Ministers of the states, which is scheduled for 3rd of March.
According to the newspaper, however, Ms. Merkel referred to three areas that should be included in the opening strategy, personal contacts, schools and vocational schools and sports, culture and catering centers.
Today, however, kindergartens and primary schools are reopening in areas of ten states, with strict hygiene rules, fewer children in the classroom and parallel distance learning.
