The US Supreme Court has ruled that Donald Trump can no longer hide his tax returns from investigators. The New York prosecutor will be able to access them as part of an ongoing criminal investigation, reports Reuters.

Monday’s decision of the Supreme Court is a blow to Donald Trump, whose lawyers have been blocking the disclosure of his tax returns for a long time.
Supreme Court judges rejected the former president’s motion to suspend the decision of the lower court of October 7 without comment. The court then ruled that Trump was to hand over his tax returns to jurors appointed by New York’s District Attorney Cyrus Vance.
The New York City prosecution’s investigation initially focused on money donated by a Trump lawyer to two women who claim to have had an affair with Trump. However, new documents filed with the courts by investigators suggest that the investigation is much broader and covers possible tax, insurance and banking fraud, as well as document fraud.
The agency reminds that in the Supreme Court the conservatives have a six to three advantage. The three judges were appointed by Trump himself during his tenure.
Donald Trump, unlike his contemporary predecessors, is the only one who refused to disclose his tax returns to the public.
