Halkin, a manufacturer of precision guided missile systems based in the United Arab Emirates, unveiled its new HAS-250 anti-ship missile system during the IDEX 2021 international defense conference and exhibition, which is being held in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, between 21 – February 25.
It is worth noting that the new HAS-250 missile system is a modern anti-ship system that uses a stealthy subsonic cruise missile that can operate in a maritime range of up to 250 km.
The company also stated that during the last stage of this cruise missile, it could fly towards its target at an altitude of 5 times less than sea level.
The HAS-250 missile system is designed to provide the highest possible performance, and it uses the Global Navigation System and Inertial Navigation Systems (GNSS + INS) to achieve high targeting accuracy, and is equipped with an active and passive terminal finder and a radio altimeter.
“Our focus on smart capabilities will continue to dig deeper as we produce world-class products domestically,” said Saeed Al Mansoori, Halkin’s CEO.
He added, “This weapon was designed and developed by Halkin Corporation in the United Arab Emirates, and this weapon will assist in the active defense of water courses in the United Arab Emirates and the Gulf.”
