Scheduled for Monday at 10:30 a.m., after a first postponement yesterday Sunday February 21 due to the bad weather conditions affecting part of the West African Coast, the flight carrying the anti Ebola vaccines from Geneva, still waits a few hours at Dakar where he was diverted for bad weather conditions in the Guinean sky.
The Guinean authorities will still have to wait until nature is more lenient. The information was once again confirmed to the press on Monday by an official from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
For now, no official program has been given by the authorities for the next program concerning the arrival of the plane. This would mean that the vaccination campaign scheduled for tomorrow, Tuesday 23 February in N’Nzérékoré and Conakry is also postponed to a later date.
This first quantity of vaccine, or 11,000 doses out of the 50,000 expected, is a donation from the WHO (World Health Organization) to Guinea as part of its response to the Ebola epidemic.
