WALL – The hearing about a fight in Scotland two years ago was the subject of the news with interesting details. The quarrel between the two strangers in the said incident resulted in one of them kissing the other and plucking his tongue. The severed tongue could not stand in its place because it had already been fed to ‘a seagull passing through the scene’ …
The details of the fight in which two people who did not meet got into each other, which resulted in one of them having the tongue cut off and a seagull ‘involved’ were presented to the court. James Mckenzie and 27-year-old Bethaney Ryan, who did not know each other, got into a fight for an unknown reason at around 8 pm on August 1, 2019, according to the information provided by Prosecutor Susan Dickson during the hearing at the Edinburgh Sheriff’s Court last Thursday.
According to Sputnik, although Ryan tried to walk away, McKenzie continued his aggressive behavior and approached Ryan again with a fist. Ryan responded to McKenzie’s move by pushing him and kissing him on the lips, ‘strangely’, quoted by the prosecutor. Meanwhile, Ryan bit off McKenzie’s tongue and ripped off a piece of it about two to three centimeters.
McKenzie then walked away and spat out the severed piece of her tongue. A big seagull grabbed the piece he spat and ate it. After the incident, while Ryan was taken into custody, McKenzie was taken to the hospital, but surgery was not required as the severed piece of tongue was missing and could not be stitched back. The prosecutor also underlined that McKenzie’s language remained permanently damaged that would affect her entire life.
Sheriff Nigel Ross, who handled the case while Ryan pleaded guilty, ordered that the sentence be announced later due to the seriousness of the incident. (Sputnik)
