The engine of a Boeing 7 passenger plane caught fire at 15,000 feet above sea level in the United States. Then it falls like rain on the residential area below. Multiple houses have been damaged. The plane had 231 passengers and 10 crew on board at the time. They are all intact. It was flying from Denver to Hawaii. The engine on the right side exploded while in the sky. Passengers said that the heat of the engine fire also spread inside the aircraft. Many assumed this was their last day. However, in the end the plane was able to make an emergency landing.
Meanwhile, some of the passengers on the plane have videotaped the scene of the engine catching fire. This horrific scene is now viral through social media. A couple was making sandwiches at a house in Denver. The wreckage of the plane came through the roof of their house and was only 2 feet away from the kitchen.
According to the Daily Mail, the plane was about 26 years old and was powered by two Pratt & Whitney engines. Investigators are trying to determine how the plane’s engine caught fire in mid-air. They declined to comment when contacted by Boeing.
