“A chapter is about to end. TVN is closing its branch in Paris. There will be no office in Paris, but I am staying on the Seine and I look forward to new challenges” – wrote Anna Kowalska on Twitter on Monday.
Anna Kowalska says goodbye to TVN. “The work of the correspondent was an unforgettable experience”
Anna Kowalska was responsible for preparing the coverage of “Fakty” and other programs broadcast on TVN24 and TVN24 Biznes i Świat. From 2020, she also ran the videoblog “French Phrases”. Before working at TVN, she was associated with France 24 and – as a sports journalist – with Perform Group.
The journalist sent a farewell e-mail to employees, in which she recalled that as a correspondent she reported on such events as the 2015 terrorist attacks in Paris, the fire of the Notre Dame cathedral or the campaign before the presidential election. – I look at it like the end of a chapter. Working as a correspondent was an unforgettable experience, it gave me memories that will stay with me forever. I’m looking forward to the next professional challenges. I stay in Paris because I feel best here. I have been here since 2013 and I have had my future with France from the very beginning – said Kowalska in an interview with the Wirtualnemedia.pl portal.
Liquidation of another correspondent office
A few weeks ago, TVN Group Discovery informed about the closing of the correspondent office in Moscow. Andrzej Zaucha, who has been broadcasting from the Russian capital for many years, will now be responsible for the preparation of materials from Ukraine, Belarus and other countries in the region.
TVN Discovery Group has several other foreign correspondents. Special materials are broadcast from the USA (Marcin Wrona), Great Britain (Maciej Woroch) and Brussels (Maciej Sokołowski).
