Earlier, three explosions rocked Kabul, Afghanistan on Saturday morning, killing at least 5 people and injuring 2 others, authorities were quoted as saying AFP.

Police spokesman Ferdaws Faramarz said that three explosions of “sticky bombs” had occurred at different locations between 08:00 and 10:00 local time.
Targeted killing with remotely detonated bombs attached to vehicles has long been a preferred tactic for militants in Afghanistan.
Especially during the early morning trips to the cities, where civilians were unlucky victims of the violence.
Neither group has claimed responsibility for Saturday’s attack, although Afghan and US officials have blamed the Taliban for a similar incident earlier, a charge the militant group denies.

Faramarz said the first blast injured two civilians, while the second killed two soldiers, as well as a woman. The third bomb killed two police officers.
That detail was confirmed by the Afghan Interior Ministry.
Coming back to the viral video, it was shot immediately after the incident, showing a woman covered in blood and blackened lying on the asphalt, while two small children by her side are seen crying.
The two children, one of them covered in blood, was heard screaming. The only child said, “Mother, wake up!”

The man who shot the video was heard telling the children to “calm down” as the woman was taken away.
Netizens reacted quickly to the video, especially social media users in Afghanistan who expressed their horror at what they saw.
The hashtag “Mother wake up!” in the local language Dari quickly trended on Afghan social media Twitter.
“Can’t stand to see mothers and their children like this,” wrote a netizen named Ejaz Malikzada.

“How can the perpetrators act in such a way while the children cry because their mother is injured? This must stop,” said Fawzia Koofi, a member of the Afghan government negotiating team for peace negotiations with the Taliban.
A Kabul police spokesman later confirmed that the two children had been treated for minor injuries while the woman in the video was reportedly seriously injured.
Peace talks between the Taliban and the Afghan government that began in September last year remain deadlocked.
The latest escalation in violence has led US President Joe Biden’s administration to launch a review of a deal signed between Washington and the Taliban last year.
The deal paves the way for a withdrawal of all US troops in the coming months.

Biden is reviewing whether to stick to a May 1 deadline to withdraw the remaining 2,500 US troops or risk a bloody attack from rebels with US troops remaining.
General Kenneth McKenzie, head of US Army Central Command, on Thursday indicated that conditions were not yet conducive for a withdrawal.
While the Taliban have promised to reduce violence under their agreement with the United States, they still haven’t, McKenzie said on the plane to Pakistan.
“Of course ISIS has carried out several attacks. It has nothing to do with what the Taliban have done,” said McKenzie, who condemned the violence against Afghan forces, and “targeted killings in some urban areas.”
“This is clearly the Taliban,” said McKenzie. “It can’t be the other party. That’s very clear.”
The Taliban denies being behind the escalation of violence, saying those responsible for the violence are another militant group.
