The health ministry announced on Monday about 3,890 new cases of coronavirus infection and the death of 17 people who were diagnosed with SARS-CoV-2 infection. The number of occupied beds for COVID-19 patients has increased, and the number of ventilators used has decreased compared to Sunday. In total, 1,642,658 infections have been reported in Poland since the beginning of the COVID-19 epidemic. 42,188 infected people died.
Most of the 3890 The new cases, which were reported on Monday, concern the Masovian Voivodeship, where they were detected 699 infection.
The remaining infections concern the following voivodeships: Pomorskie (545), Podkarpackie (363), Śląskie (306), Dolnośląskie (254), Małopolskie (234), Kujawsko-Pomorskie (217), Wielkopolskie (217), Lubuskie (204), Warmińsko-Mazurskie (158), Łódź (138), West Pomeranian (111), Lublin (101), Świętokrzyskie (85), Podlasie (79) and Opole (52).

Health Minister: a month of increases is ahead
Health Minister Adam Niedzielski on Monday in “Rozmowa Piaseckiego” on TVN24 said that experts forecast that “the apogee will take place more or less at the turn of March and April”. “So we have another month or so of uninterrupted growth ahead of us,” he admitted.
– So far, the forecasts show that the peak of this third wave will be at an average daily level of 10-12 thousand cases a day, which from the point of view of the healthcare system itself is a number we have dealt with – he said But – as he added – “this is a scenario with a big question mark”. – Because we have mutations that accelerate the development of this pandemic and loosen behaviors, loosen this social discipline – these are two elements responsible for these increases – he assessed.
Conditional lifting of some restrictions
On February 11, an ordinance of the Council of Ministers was published in the Journal of Laws of the Republic of Poland, amending the regulations on the establishment of certain restrictions, orders and bans in connection with the occurrence of the epidemic.
From February 12 to February 26 hotele are available to everyone while maintaining the sanitary regime (50% of available rooms, meals only served in rooms, at guests’ request). Hotel restaurants remain closed.
