If ex-US President Donald Trump does create his own political party, then almost 50% of American Republican American voters are ready to join it.
This is evidenced by the results of a survey conducted by USA Today together with the University of Suffolk, according to the News resource.
According to the data obtained, 46% of voters in the US Republican Party support the idea of creating Trump’s party. At the same time, they are ready to leave the current party and move to a new political force. 27% of voters were against, the rest found it difficult to answer.
At the same time, Trump’s participation in the future elections of 2024 is supported by 59% of the Republican electorate, 76% are ready to vote for him. In addition, 42% of respondents said that their opinion of Trump after the failed impeachment has only improved. Only 4% reported the opposite.
Finally, 9 out of 10 survey participants said they did not believe Trump was guilty of inciting the storming of the Capitol on January 6, 2021. 8 out of 10 have no doubt that the attack would have happened anyway, even if Trump had not called for “fighting with all your might.”
