“The weekend dish does not reflect the epidemiological situation”
The deputy head of the Ministry of Health, Waldemar Kraska, spoke on Polish Radio 24 on Monday about new coronavirus infections in Poland. He said 3,890 people had been confirmed to have coronavirus over the past 24 hours.

“These data are for sure like the weekend data, which means they do not reflect the epidemiological situation. We always have people reported and tested much less on the weekend. But we can also see from today’s data that this is an upward trend – that is over 1,300 cases more than a week earlier “- pointed out Kraska.
“We can see, however, that we are in this period of the third wave of the coronavirus, so the question is no longer whether it will come, it is there, but the question is how high it will be, how many new cases will there be” – he emphasized.
He added that an increased number of people admitted to hospitals due to coronavirus infection is also observed. He described this phenomenon as worrying, because a certain percentage will go to intensive care units.
