– These data are definitely like the weekend data, which means they do not reflect the epidemiological situation. We always have people reported and much less tests performed at the weekend. But we can also see from today’s data that this is an upward trend – that is over 1,300 cases more than a week earlier – thus Deputy Health Minister Waldemar Kraska commented on today’s data on Polish Radio 24.

Last Monday, the Ministry of Health reported 2,543 cases of infection, and two weeks ago, 2,431 cases of coronavirus.

– We can see that we are in the period of the third coronavirus wave, which is no longer the question of whether it will come. She is already here. There is a question of how high it will be, how many new cases will there be – emphasized Kraska.

There are 12,868 people in hospitals due to the coronavirus. There are 1,336 patients under respirators, the Ministry of Health reported on Monday.

The ministry said that 26,245 beds and 2,607 ventilators were prepared for COVID-19 patients.

147,208 people are in quarantine.

The Ministry of Health also reported that 1,384,373 infected have recovered so far.
