An out-of-court settlement was reached with his accusers, James Franco. The actor filed against the actor in 2019 with two former students at Studio 4, Sarah Tither-Kaplan and Toni Gaal, who claimed Franco had forced them into awkward, sexual situations with threats.

The material details of the agreement are unknown. According to Variety’s report, the two plaintiffs ’lawsuit was dismissed by the court under the agreement, but that doesn’t mean they couldn’t file it again – meaning the current court decision doesn’t qualify as a lawsuit.

According to the accusations of Tither-Kaplan and Gaal, Franco forced his disciples to play sexually suggestive scenes, who described the scene as “orgy-like.” It was all part of the lesson on sex scenes anyway. Tither-Kaplan and Gaal also claimed that Franco set his students on the promise of roles if they followed his instructions.

Franco’s lawyers had previously called the charges false, which have no legal basis. Tither-Kaplan and Gaal were also accused of wanting to achieve as much publicity as possible.

The agreement reached on February 11 has even to be approved by the court, there is time until March 15. (Via Variety)
