BERLIN. Both French and German police fined many people over the weekend who violated the epidemiological restrictions by attending parties. The DPA agency informed about it on Sunday.
About 100 people attended Saturday’s secret party in Paris. Roughly the same number of people came to a similar event in the city of Orly, south of Paris, the DPA said.
According to a statement on Twitter, the police detained ten people at a party in Orly on Sunday night, fining a total of 59 people. The party participants violated the night curfew, which applies in France from 6 pm and does not only apply to commuting.
In Germany, meanwhile, the police opened a party in Berlin on Sunday night with 33 participants. The party took place there in an empty industrial building, which the police had been monitoring for some time. She found out about the party thanks to an anonymous tip.
Police seized a small amount of drugs on the spot, one baton and also money – probably admission to the event. She also briefly took a 38-year-old DJ into custody for possession of drugs. Police closed the building after the intervention and fined people who violated the regulations.
