On Friday after midnight, Birmingham police received reports that a party was taking place at one of Kings Norton’s homes, which was broadcast live on social media.
To the door of the apartment at 00.30. after the police knocked, the woman who opened the door tried to pretend that she had just been awakened. Vigilant officials noticed that the woman wearing the robe was also wearing thimbles, earrings and glued lashes, meaning the woman did not sleep, as she told police.
At the residence, police found at least 14 party attendees who were warned they would face fines if they did not go home immediately. Although some of the guests asked for instructions from the police, three people were arrested after attacking the officers.
Attending illegal gatherings during quarantine incurs a fine of between £ 200 and £ 10,000.
That same night, Birmingham police at Erdington interrupted another party attended by more than 50 people. The party was held in a soundproofed room, the party was led by a DJ, and participants were intoxicated by Class A drugs (this class includes heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, and LSD). 50 party attendees and the party organizer were fined £ 10,000.
