The deputy head of the post office of Ukrposhta in Kryvyi Rih was fired for speaking with a client in Russian and refusing to comply with anti-epidemic measures. It is reported by “Dneprovskaya Panorama”.
The scandal erupted in mid-February when a branch visitor posted a video on the network in which he captured an employee who refused to introduce herself on camera. The man asked the postal worker to switch to Ukrainian and put on a medical mask, to which the interlocutor refused in a rude form, and after that she also complained about the visitor to the police.
Representatives of Ukrposhta confirmed to reporters that the woman had indeed violated several rules, including the norms of the law on language and the mandatory use of personal protective equipment.
“The employee neglected the rules of customer service, raised her voice and used swear words, which is absolutely unacceptable. Taking into account the rudeness of violations and the presence of warnings from the management on the quality of service earlier, the company decided to dismiss the employee, ”the post office said.
In mid-January in Ukraine, the service sector was obliged to switch exclusively to the Ukrainian language. It will be possible to serve a client in another language only at his request.
