When do people take off their corona mask? … Biden’s medical advisor sets a “shocking” date

Thousands of Americans are dying from the virus despite vaccinating 15% of the population

The director of the American National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci, said today, Sunday, that Americans will likely still need to wear masks in 2022, even as other restrictions imposed to combat “Covid-19” are eased, according to “Sky News Arabia.”

In detail, the numbers of daily infection with the Coronavirus in the United States are witnessing a significant decline, but thousands of Americans still die every day because of the virus, while less than 15 percent of the population has been vaccinated.

President Joe Biden is striving to accelerate a campaign that bets to vaccinate most adults, while state governments are calling for more doses to curb the disease that has killed nearly 500,000 people in the United States.

“The death toll that the United States is approaching represents a terrible historical milestone in the history of this country,” Fauchi, President Biden’s chief medical advisor, said in an interview with CNN.

When asked whether the Americans will need to wear masks next year, Fauchi said: “It is likely that the situation will be like this.” Adding that this depends on the level of spread of the virus in the different regions and its possible strains.

In a separate interview with “Fox News Sunday”, Fauchi said that the currently available vaccines seem to protect – apparently – from the strain that appeared in Britain, which appeared in parts of the United States, but it seems less effective in preventing the South African strain, and it is not So far prevalent in the country.

According to Forbes, the Corona virus infections and deaths in the United States have decreased dramatically in recent days, and the average daily number of Corona infections in the United States fell to less than 78 thousand daily cases during the past week, while the number of daily infections in the “Covid 19” epidemic decreased. In the United States, it fell below 80,000 for the seventh day in a row.

This decrease in the number of new infections of the Coronavirus has not been recorded since last October, but the improvement was not limited to new infections only.

The numbers indicate a significant decline in the number of people hospitalized due to the virus, in addition to a decrease in the number of daily deaths caused by “Covid 19”.

Experts believe that this “improvement” may be an indication that the United States has finally managed to descend the curve of Corona towards a decline.

According to a report by “The Atlantic” magazine, the improvement is due to a number of factors, such as the partial immunity that was acquired in the country against the virus, as well as the effects of the vaccination campaign, in addition to the expiration of the winter season.

Experts expect that the speed of transmission of Corona infection will decrease between March and August, and then likely return to become more severe with the arrival of autumn, but the world will then have made progress in vaccination campaigns.

Many in the United States did not expect the number of new infections to decline at this rate in mid-February, but there are those who attribute the shift to increasing awareness of the virus, especially in light of the administration of Democratic President Joe Biden to impose more stringent measures to contain the epidemic, while his predecessor, Donald Trump Underestimates disease.
