The Prime Minister of Northern Macedonia, Zoran Zaev, announced the authorities’ intention to buy batch of Russian coronavirus vaccine “Satellite V”. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
The news was announced after a meeting of Zoran Zaev with local authorities in the city of Ohrid, where issues to combat the COVID-19 pandemic were discussed.
“For all existing vaccines we have placed orders and concluded contracts, ie we have established contacts with the ultimate goal to make the vaccination process continuous and to continue it with the projected dynamics“, revealed Zoran Zaev.

A vaccination campaign was launched in northern Macedonia days ago after Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic donated a batch of Pfizer / BioNTech vaccine to vaccinate health workers.
The first 4680 of the planned 8000 vaccines to Pfzier were handed over a few days ago personally to Prime Minister Zoran Zaev by Serbian President Alexander Vucic. And the shipment was secured with a hug at the checkpoint near Tabanovtsi.
In addition, the country’s authorities signed a contract to purchase 200,000 doses of the Chinese vaccine Sinopharm.
