The Moroccan passport is ranked 79th out of 110 countries. This is what the London firm Henley & Partners indicates by publishing the Index 2021 passport.

According to the same source, Moroccan citizens can visit with their passport 64 countries without a visa or obtain a visa once arrived at these destinations. Indeed, according to the report, Morocco ranks 15th in Africa, behind Seychelles (28th), Mauritius (31st), South Africa (54th), Botswana (62nd), Namibia (68th) , Lesotho (69th), Swaziland (71st), Malawi (72nd), Kenya (73rd), Tanzania, Tunisia and Zambia (74th), Gambia (75th), Uganda (76th), Cape Verde (77th), Ghana and Zimbabwe (78th). In the Maghreb, Morocco comes in second place behind Tunisia (74th).

To note, the Henley & Partners index is dominated by European passports which occupy the top 20 places, although the top of the podium is occupied by two Asian countries. Thus, Japan and Singapore come first and second, their passports respectively giving access to 191 and 190 visa-free destinations.

Germany (189 destinations), South Korea and Finland (188) close the Top 5. The bottom of the ranking is occupied by Yemen and Somalia (106th and 33 destinations), Pakistan, Syria, Iraq and Afghanistan (110th and 26 destinations).
